SHOP SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY’S HOLIDAY FAIR: Park Slope’s annual Holiday Tree Lighting tomorrow, on Small Business Saturday, will bring together local merchants and members of the community. The Park Slope 5th Avenue Business Improvement District is sponsoring this free event, at the 4th Street Plaza (corner of 5th Ave.) that will include free treats through the Buttermilk Bake Shop) and arts + crafts activities for kids (Park Slope Parents), from 5-6 p.m., with the Tree Lighting promptly at 6 p.m.
The Holiday Tree Lighting is Park Slope 5th Avenue’s very own homegrown family-friendly community street party, set in the epicenter of the Shop Local/Shop Small movement on Park Slope 5th Avenue. A special customer from the North Pole is also expected.

ALLOY DEVELOPMENT SEEKS PARTNER WHO SPECIALIZE IN RENEWABLE ENERGY SOLUTIONS: Brooklyn-based Alloy Development has released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for partner companies specializing in renewable energy solutions to run 100 Flatbush Avenue, the 44-story story part of the Alloy Block, as the city’s first all-electric residential building. Alloy’s RFP seeks to partner with a community solar developer to enroll 100 Flatbush in community solar projects that will secure a 100 percent renewable energy supply for the building, a 44-story project to be part of the first phase of Alloy Block, a mixed-use development that will comprise five old and new buildings
Construction at 100 Flatbush recently passed the halfway mark and is on track to complete in 2024, with all of the apartments featuring induction cooktops, heat pump dryers, and electric-power basic function services including hot water heating and HVAC systems.

ARREST IN FLATBUSH ASSAULT OF CHILD: Police have arrested a 28-year-old male in connection with an assault that happened last week in Flatbush within the 70th Precinct. The defendant, Jamal McIlwain, of Myrtle Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, has multiple charges against him, including felonious assault and acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17, following his November 17 unprovoked attack on a 12-year-old boy near St. Paul’s Place and St. Paul’s Court, where he struck the youth in the head repeatedly with a crutch, causing injuries.
The youth was transferred to a local urgent care center and was in stable condition as of press time.

ASSAILANTS STEALING iPHONES ON SOUTHBOUND G TRAINS: The NYPD is asking the public to identify assailants who robbed commuters on the Lafayette Avenue G line, near Fort Greene and within the 88th Precinct, on two consecutive Mondays this month. During the first incident, on November 14 around 8 p.m., three males approached a 42-year-old woman aboard a southbound G train and forcibly grabbed her iPhone, valued at $1,000, from her hand. A week later, around 9:10 p.m. three unidentified men believed to be the same group stole an iPhone valued at $299 from a 60-year-old man, also aboard a southbound G train near the Lafayette/Fulton St. Station.
The unidentified males involved in this larceny pattern are described as having dark complexions and are approximately 16 to 18 years of age. Call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
